Hangover Chili

Okay fellow tailgaters. You guys and gals are going to love this one! We are sharing with you our award-winning "Hangover Chili"! As most of you know, we bottle our own Bloody Mary mix. We use fresh tomato juice, a few secret spices, and a shit load of horseradish! Besides making a killer bloody, this mix also beautifully compliments beef, and is the secret ingredient in this awesome chili recipe! Here is what you will need to get started:

Hangover Chili

2 lbs ground beef

1 medium onion diced

2 jalapenos seeded and diced

1 can of stewed tomatoes (15 oz)

1 can of black beans drained and rinsed (15 oz)

1 can of tomato paste (6 oz)

1 tbsp hot sauce

3/4 cup Gold Hen Sweet Bloody Mary Mix

5 tbsp Chili Powder

1 shot of vodka (optional)

 

Gold Hen Chili Powder

1/4 cup ancho chili powder

3 tbsp paprika

4 tsp ground cumin

2 tbsp onion powder

4 tsp dried oregano

2 tsp garlic powder

 

Brown the ground beef in a large pan and then drain the fat. Add the beef and the rest of the ingredients to a large pot. Use the empty can of stewed tomatoes to add 2 cans of water to the pot. Full disclosure. I have no idea if the shot of vodka does anything to the flavor, but if I open a bottle of Bloody Mary Mix, vodka is gonna get used in some way shape or form! You can simply toss a shot in the chili, do the shot yourself, or even whip up a little drink. In our case, we go for all three! Cover and let simmer for at least 1 hour. Let it cool a bit and then enjoy!
